School Sports

At Scoil Naomh Caoimhín we love our sport and encourage our pupils to try their hands at sports they may not have tried before. Our children attend swimming and badminton at local clubs and we regularly have visiting coaches who give sessions in Gaelic football, soccer, rugby and cricket among other sports.

The school has a proud tradition of participating in numerous sports competitions. In recent years, we have been regular visitors to Croke Park for Cumann na mBunscol finals.

In Gaelic Football, we were winners in 2015 and 2019 and runners up in 2010, 2016 and 2018.

Hurling was only restarted in the school in 2013, and by 2018 we’d won the league two years in a row.

Our boys have enjoyed great success in football too. We completed a hattrick, winning the Tallaght League in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In addition to titles won in 2012 and 2014, the school was runner up in 2011, 2013 and 2016.

In recent years, we have tried other leagues, enjoying success in Olympic Handball, winning the county championship in twice in recent years, as well as participating in the local basketball competitions.
